At Home Yoga for Everyone

Hello Everyone 😀

Hope you're all well 😊

I'm currently writing this on my 26th birthday which this year has felt so weird for obvious reasons. Anyway I wanted to do a yoga post which is suitable for anyone to do of any age or level so you don't have to be an experienced yogi to get involved 😊

Now if the perfect time to start with the beautiful weather and it's something different to do during your day at home.

Yoga is the perfect way to de-stress and wind down. I love yoga outside listneing to the birds and enjoying the sun.

So the below poses are brilliant for beginners and you will see a difference/improvement each day you practice.

Cat Pose
Childs Pose
Plank Pose
Half Pigeon Pose
Cobra Pose
You don't need a yoga mat or any special equipment. If you want to relax even more, play some relaxing music or maybe light a few candles if you're inside.

Let me know if you do yoga and what is your favourite pose?

If you want a more advanced post with different poses, also let me know 😊

Thank you for reading.

ASOS Haul

Hi Everyone 😀

I just wanted to start by saying I hope everyone is ok and keeping safe. I wanted to keep posting some fun content to brighten your day and take your mind of the situation.

I have never ever done any sort of clothing blog post before but I thought why not 😊 so please be nice 😉

I buy 90% of my clothes from ASOS and even bags and beauty products. I love the range, variety and the delivery service is amazing. Order before 12 and it arrives the next day.....yes please!

I really fancied bit of a update in my wardrobe and to be honest I have missed shopping so this is the closest thing I could do!

I will try and link everything under each image if I can still find it on the website 😊

ASOS Design Mini Cord Smock Dress

I have had this dress in my wishlist for ages, I love the colour, length and it has pockets. Who else loves a dress with pockets? 😂

I ordered my usual size and it fits perfectly.

Holister Romper

I love anything comfy, if I could I would live in it and to be honest I can't rememeber the last time I wore a pair of jeans (of part from to try on later in this post ha) I love how it has long sleeves and shorts so it's perfect for the spring weather when it's not quite warm enough for a playsuit.

The material of this romper is so soft and comfy and I wanto wear it all the time and yes it has pockets....another win in my eye! 😊

Miss Selfridge Floral Bodysuit

I don't know about you but bodysuits are the way forward 😂 they stay tucked all day and are really comfy. This is the perfect season transition piece to wear on those not so cold days 😊

Pimkie Skinny Jeans in Grey

A pair of dark grey jeans has been on my list now for ages and I came across these a while back and they are now reduced to a shocking £13.55!!! I couldn't really say no could I?!? They are so comfy and fit perfectly 😊

Vero Moda Petite Floral Ruffle Top

These are my favourite sorts of tops for spring/summer. They go with jeans, shorts and skirts and make any outfit summery! I couldn't believe that it was reduced from £26.00 to....... £5.50 😮 The quality is amazing!

Miss Selfridge Bodysuit in Floral

I think this might be my favourite item from this whole haul! Yes another bodysuit 😉 but please look how pretty it is. As you can tell I love florals too but what I love about this is the bows on the sleeves. I think it just adds a little something to the piece.

Now to the beauty bits.........

If you haven't bought an ASOS beauty box before then this is your warning to go and get one 😉
The value is amazing and the perfect way to try new products. Each month has a them and Aprils is "Hydration" It contains; Elemis Pro Collagen Eye Masks, Caudalie Sorbet, The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid, Indeed Hydration Booster and Stylpro Gel Cleanser and Cloth. They do sell out really fast  so you have to be speedy. They also do a male grooming box.

Last but not least the amazing Invisi-bobble. I always use Invisi bobbles, they don't damage hair and I think they just look a lot better than the usual bobble. I'm not going to lie, I was drawn to this by the colourful pom poms ha 😅 but this will be really useful for just getting my hair out of the way and looking nice at the same time.

I hope you enjoyed this little ASOS haul and I will try an do more varied posts trying new things 😀

Let me know what you have bought recently from ASOS and if you're going to have a look at anything mentioned above 😊

Thank you for reading.

New In Products | High Street Edition

Good Afternoon 😀

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend so far 😊 I'm having a chilled one with a bit of retail therapy and plenty of good food 😋

One thing I absolutely doing is looking around Superdrug and Boots at the "New In" items and seeing what I want to try. I recently got a few bits I wanted to share with you 😊

I have been a massive fan of the L'Oreal Elvive Extreme Lengths range for ages now. I always have a stock of the shampoo, conditioner and hair cream. So when I saw this Frizz Killer Serum I thought "I need this NOW" It has the same classic scent as the whole range does and also works as a heat protector too. I have used this a few times now and I have loved it everytime. It makes my hair feel so soft and smooth.

When I saw the Vaseline Prime and Shine, I was so intrigued. I have god knows how many lip balms. I'm guessing if I actually counted them up and got them all out of my bags I'd have around 50 😅 I thought 1 more wouldn't be so bad would it 😌 It is a dual sided product with the classic lip balm one end and then a coloured lip gloss at the other end so layer on top of the balm. I have to say I am quite impressed with this product. My lips feel so soft and moisturised and the gloss on the shade I had is so subtle 😊

Now if you've read my blog for a while you will know that if any new Barry M nail varnishes come out, I am there I have to buy them all and get very excited 😅 They are the best high street nail varnishes out there. This new range has such bright and vibrant shades which are absolutely perfect for this time of the year. I got these 3 which are purple, pink and mint green. The 3 other shades a re lime green, bright blue and orange. I can't wait to try them and will keep you updated over on my Twitter 😀

I have been a fan of the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Treatment for such a long time now. It's the best way of getting that bit of extra love to your hair but perfect if you haven't got time to do a full on hair mask. I'd never even seen these little tube treatments before so I had to get one to try. I love trying new hair products as I feel my hair gets used to the same products so have to keep switching it up every now and then.

What did I just say about too many lip balms? 😅 I saw this Barry M Lip Rehab when I got the nail varnishes. It's a fully moisturings lip treatment, perfect to use overnight and for this time of the year with all the cold weather and wind. I can't wait to give this ago 😊

What new high street products have you been trying or recommend?

Thank you for reading.

Feather & Down Sweet Dreams

Good Evening Everyone 😊

Hope your 2020 has started off amazing 😀

I am a huge fan of pillow sprays, balms, mists etc but my all time favourite brand is Feather & Down. I've seen the brand in Boots quite a while ago but it's only the past few months I've really started to use them a lot.

I had a few in gift sets over Christmas which really stocked up my collection. These are my favourites from the range. The products have a blend of natural chamomile and lavender oils which help aid relaxation and a restless nights sleep. Now I know what you're thinking "Do they realllllyyyyy work?" and the answer is YES, I was sceptical at first too 😊

If I use the pillow spray I fall asleep so much faster than if I don't. I have also noticed that with the pillow sprays I have a much better unbroken sleep and feel more refreshed in the morning.  I have used other cheaper brands of pillow spray and I can noticed the difference straight away.

I also use a bit of the relaxation roll on on the pulse points before I go to sleep too which helps with relaxing the body for a good nights sleep.

They do 2 different pillow sprays; the normal one is the lavender and chamomile one and they also do a breathe easy pillow spray which contains eucalyptus oil and peppermint. I found this one so useful when I had bit of a cold and found it harder to get to sleep with a blocked nose.

The melting shower cream is a must have!! Not only does you skin feel so super silky smooth after but when you go to bed you can smell the lavender and chamomile on your skin which also adds to the relaxation 😀

I really want to try the Magnesium Sleep Salts, I bet those are amazing. I think that will be my next purchase from the range 😊

Have you tried anything from Feather and Down before? What do you recommend?

Thank you for reading.

A Truthful, Honest Goodbye to 2019 & the Decade

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! 🎆 🎇

Well it's been quite a few months since I last wrote anything on here. I tell you it's been quite a year and I'm glad it's over 😊

If you've read my blog for a while you will know I have had my ups and downs with anxiety, panic attacks and depression. I think I started this year feeling positive and hopeful but by the middle of the year I was just waiting for 2020 to start. I had spats of feeling so low, anxious and I think I had probably the worst panic attack I've ever had, to the point I literally couldn't go to work. I felt ashamed, embarrassed and just thought I'd let myself down. I knew I couldn't continue that way so I did go into work and explain and they were very supportive. I think sometimes trying to hide it and not say anything makes it worse. I feel so much better speaking out about it because not only does it make others aware of how you're feeling but others also share their experience which also kind of helps. I then got really sick near the end of the year. Now I'm the sort of person who never gets any bug/ cold etc so this really knocked me. I think it was because my immune system was so low from my mental health. I had never been so poorly in my life but after 2 weeks and losing a stone...I finally started to feel better and get back on track for December and Christmas (my favourite time of the year). The final straw was I went into work on the last day before Christmas to be told they were closing the company after 35 years and we no longer had a job. The place I had worked since I left school 7 and a half years ago was no more. I'm going to be completely honest I worked so hard throughout school, sixth form, apprenticeship and at work to get where I am and in my eyes I had my perfect job. I loved everything I did and had everything I wanted in a job. It was then ripped away from me within minutes.... to say I was heartbroken is an understatement. I'm seeing it as an opportunity to better myself and see what else is out there but I'm not going to lie...I am devastated!!! But I have an interview tomorrow so fingers crossed 🤞

Now all that is out the way I'll get onto the good bits of the year 😉  Weirdly enough even though I have had bad anxiety, I also feel that I've got better at social situations and more confident in myself. I've learnt to put myself first for once in my life and make ME happy! I've tried new things and said yes to spontaneous suggestions. (I'm always someone who likes to plan so a spontaneous outing is a pretty big thing)  I've had the best times with the best people, my family, friends and amazing boyfriend and writing this today I feel happy, stronger and hopeful! All of the challenges life throws at us just makes us stronger and we can handle things better and easier.

Looking at myself now compared to the 15 year old at the beginning of the decade...I'm a completely different person and I would love to go back and tell myself everything will be ok but without the experiences I wouldn't be who I am today. In the last 10 years I've learnt to be careful who you trust, look after yourself first, it's ok to not be ok and be confident!

I'm looking forward to the year ahead and it's weird not knowing what will be this time next year. I'm excited to see what happens 😊

Who knows what I'll be writing in 2030 when I look back on the decade.

What are you looking forward to this year? What are your goals for  2020 and the decade?

Thank you for reading and here's to a successful and happy 2020 😊

Simple Tips to Calm Anxiety for a Good Nights Sleep

Hi everyone and welcome back 😘

Hope you all had a good weekend and a great start to the week so far! Like I said in my last post I can't believe it's nearly October but I am living for it, I love this time of year, Autumn and the run up to Christmas is my all time fave!!!! 🎄 🎅

If you've read my blog for a while you will know that I have spoken very openly about my anxiety, panic attacks and depression. I like to share my experiences to try and help anyone out who is going through a similar time and I have had such a positive response from them.

My post today is a few simple tips to try and have a good nights sleep....hopefully anxiety free!!!

I have had no end of nights where I can't get to sleep or I wake up short of breath and struggling to concentrate on breathing.

The one thing I will always recommend is a pillow spray. I have used so many and they're so many brands such as Sanctuary Spa, Champneys, Feather and Down and my favourite This Works. They all have a calming lavender and Chamomile scent which instantly makes you feel so much calmer. Not only do they smell nice, make you feel calm but they also give you a good nights sleep. I notice the difference in my quality of sleep if I forget to use it. I even recommended them to people who just simply couldn't get to sleep and it's helped them so much! 🛏

These a quite similar to the pillow sprays but I also use anti stress/relaxing roll ons. All you need to do is roll some on your pressure points like your wrists or on your neck and the scent will naturally calm you down. I always carry one in my hand bag, in case of any emergencies!!!

I have so many calming, relaxation, quote books which have so many small tips to de-stress and have a calmer state of mind. I always find reading a book before bed slows down my brain and stops any of those annoying thoughts and worries. Also I can literally read 2 pages and fall asleep because reading makes me tired 😅

I use quite a few apps that have either relaxing music or breathing exercises. The main ones I use are Calm, Headspace and Doze. Doze is probably my favourite it is so simple to use with loads of different music styles like rainfall, piano, ambient etc.

The rainbow in the picture is a stress rainbow (like a stress ball) I just thought it looked pretty ha! 🌈

What do you do to get yourself ready for bed? Do you recommend any products/apps etc?

Thank you for reading as always.

My Top Products for Blemish Prone Skin

Hello Everyone and Happy Weekend 😊

I'm so glad it's getting into Autumn so I can get the jumpers, tights, scarves and coats back out. I love the colours of the season like mustard, burnt orange, burgandy etc. What is your favourite thing about Autumn? I love the Autumnal drinks that have come out now 😊

I have spent years searching for the best products for blemish prone skin, I find a product I like then it stops working. Does anyone else have this problem? I don't know if my skin has got used to the product or what but I think I have a good system in place now 😀

The Body Shop Carrot Cream - I know what you're thinking....CARROTS in a face cream? I thought the exact same thing and yes the cream is orange but it doesn't smell of carrots 😉  I have combination skin so struggle to find the best moisturiser to suit my skin. This has been a life saver, it has amazing hydration and has actually reduced the amount of blemishes I have had. My skin feels so much smoother and softer, just like a babies 🥕

£14.00 for 50ml

Origins Super Spot Remover - Ok I have used so many of those products that you dab a tiny bit onto a spot/blemish and after 4 hours it reduces, but so many of them hardly ever work. This works incredibly!!! All I do is dab a bit on with a cotton bud and leave it to dry. I've even used it on those painful hormonal under the skin spots and they literally went flat overnight. I couldn't believe it, this will definitely be a staple piece in my skincare drawer.

£16.00 for 10ml

Dr Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment - I think I've put this in a favourites post before but I still love it. It's a green colour corrector so it neutralises any redness left from a blemish. Always remember to blend it in properly before putting your make up on or you'll have a green patch  😉 I also really like the smell of it too, it reminds me of a mild tea tree scent.

£12.00 for 15ml

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% - I have used a The Ordinary Acid before which I loved but for some reason I couldn't find it again. So I got this one to try, I read a few reviews where people had said it helps acne and it has helped a lot. After I take my make up off I put a small amount over my face and leave it until I finish my skin care routine later in the evening and it seems to do the trick 😊

£6.00 for 30ml

Revlon Colorstay Foundation and Concealer - I have always struggled to find foundation and concealer that actually covers scars etc and after seeing so many adverts and videos on Youtube, I finally caved and purchased them. I think I love it more because it is for combination/oily skin so I don't have that melted look near then end of the day which I normally get. The shade is perfect for my skin, I have the shade 110 Ivory in the foundation and 015 Light Pale in the concealer. I absolutely love the coverage, I would call it a full coverage but it's light on the skin.

£12.99 for the Foundation
£6.99 for the Concealer

What products do you recommend? Also whats your favourite thing about Autumn?

Thank you for reading as always.

Life Update | Anxiety, Toxic Friendships & General Life

Hello 😀

Hope you're having a good weekend. It's been a while, I haven't wrote on here for nearly 2 months now. I've nearly picked up the laptop and gone to write a blog post loads of times but I couldn't bring myself to actually do it. I've had the images for new products to review and edited but never did the post and now the products aren't new haha!!!

In complete honesty the beginning of this year has been pretty s**t. My mental health has been at an all time low from one thing and another. I've struggled to get out of bed and quite a lot of weekends I haven't even left the house. I can easily put a fake smile on at work and pretend I'm ok because lets face it that's easier than explaining whats actually wrong and I do keep my personal life to myself for obvious reasons.

They're are a few things that have been really getting me down and making my anxiety so bad. I am going to briefly say just because I think it will make me feel so much better to get it out of my head and wrote down.

Firstly my "Best Friend" is getting married next week. Was I invited...No! Lets go back a year to when I was asked to be bridesmaid and I was over the moon. Obviously I wanted too, we'd been friends over 10 years. Long story short I live half and hour away from her and the other bridesmaids and I don't drive yet meaning it was harder for me meet up with them. Yes I could get the train but my anxiety on trains on my own is something I don't even want to think about and it was going into the centre of Birmingham which is quite possibly the busiest city after London. I explained this along with the fact that I work full time but it wasn't accepted. If I couldn't comply with all the nights out, meetings up, events etc I basically couldn't be a bridesmaid. I had to chose between being a bridesmaid or my mental health, I even told her I was seeing a therapist for my anxiety. The text messages I received were heartbreaking, I still have them on my phone and keep re reading them which I know I shouldn't but I still can't believe what happened. At the time I showed numerous people the text messages and they couldn't believe what was on them and it was clear that the texts where part wrote by her new "Best Friend". I was told by family and friends that I needed to end the friendship, it was toxic but it was so hard. Now it's closer to the wedding I've been thinking and re going over in my head what happened. Lets just say that situation went on for months and completely destroyed me!!!!!

Secondly I'm trying my hardest to save a deposit for a house but they're so expensive, I feel it's near enough impossible. So I think renting is the best for now and then save while renting. The only thing that annoys me is mortgage payments are half of what renting is so I could easily cover a mortgage payment but the deposit is what they want these days which is what a lot of people struggle with......lottery tickets are being purchased ha! ;)

Last but not least you know when one thing breaks, it seems like everything else will break at the same time?? I still live at home and the roof leaked after a load of rain and then the bath broke. You don't realise how much you rely on a bath/shower until it's gone and everything is so expensive to replace.

It's been a hard few months but I'm hoping it's going to pick up and obviously it will because Christmas is on the way haha!!! I actually do feel better for getting that out, like I said this may become private in a few months but if any of you have anything causing anxiety or that's on your mind, writing it down certainly helps and even if someone can give you advice it helps so much if they understand how you feel.

The only things that help with my anxiety is having time to myself, a relaxing bath, fresh air and lately I've had that many panic attacks that I literally have to just sit there and breathe in and out just to try and remain calm.

Thank you for reading my rant 😉 I feel much better and I'm always here if you want to also unload or message me on twitter/instagram and I'll help as much as I can.

Thank you again.

Function of Beauty Haircare

Happy Weekend!!

Hope you're having a good weekend, the weather here in the UK is horrendous, it's pouring down with rain and has been for hours so a duvet day with snacks, watching Friends, Youtube, Blog Writing etc is well due.

I never but anything off Instagram adverts but I kept seeing the Function of Beauty hair kits everywhere and they even turned up in Youtube videos where they were using it as an AD. I just had to look into it and see what it was all about. The company is based in New York and the products are all Paraben Free, Cruelty Free, Sulphate Free and Vegan.

The reviews were amazing, people saying their hair felt and looked incredible just after 1 wash. I then went onto the website and I was sold. Your first have to fill out a small questionnaire about your hair type and what your hair goals are.

Firstly you choose your hair type, hair structure and your scalp texture.

Secondly you choose your five hair goals. I chose deep condition, fix split ends, lengthen, thermal protection and straighten.

You then get to the fun bit of choosing your scent, I found this so hard as I wanted them all but I finally went for pear 🍐

You then choose the strength of the scent, I chose strong because I love a shampoo/conditioner scent that lasts ages on your hair. You then choose what name you want on the bottles either your name or a nickname.

The last step is to chose what colour you want the shampoo and conditioner. I chose 2 different colour purely so I can never get them mixed up 😂

The last stage is to chose what size bottle you want and how frequently you want them delivered. You can have it has a subscription but I chose a one off purchase just so I could test it first.

After it was paid for you receive an email with delivery date on. Now at the checkout you can pay to get your order "fast tracked" I think it was about £5.00 so I paid for that and delivery was roughly a week but it actually arrived in less than a week. Considering it was made in America and delivered that fast I was impressed.

The packaging was so cute and I think it would make a perfect present for any beauty lover. It also came with a sheet of really adorable stickers so you can personalise your bottles.

In the parcel was a leaflet which has your own formula on and what the products do for each of the hair goals you chose.

I used this the day I got it because I couldn't leave it in the box another second longer. The scent was everything and more....OMG it smells amazing, because I chose pears it kind of smells like pear drops 😁

The next day I had 2 compliments already one saying "your hair looks so shiny and soft" and the other "your hair looks in such good condition" I couldn't believe it after just one usage. I can't wait to see what it looks like in a couple of months.

Have you tried Function of Beauty? What scent would you chose?

Thank you for reading.

Nip + Fab | Salicylic Fix Range Part 2

Hello and Happy Bank Holiday Weekend!!!! 😀

I hope you're having a fab weekend so far and enjoying the sunny weather 🌞

Back in October last year I did a review on the new Nip + Fab Salicylic Fix Range (At the time it was published the range was called Teen Skin) I absolutely love it and wanted more in the range. They answered my prayers and have now brought out 5 new products in the range which are; Concentrate Extreme 2%, Gel Cleanser, Serum Extreme 2%, Face Scrub and a Extreme Tonic 2% . Also since I wrote the last review they did bring out the Face Mask Sheet too 😀

The only two I haven't purchased is the Concentrate Extreme 2% and the Extreme Tonic 2% because I already have the original tonic in the range.

To read the review on the Day/Night Pad and Tonic click here

I have honestly bought about 30 of the sheet masks since they came out, I love them! Sheet masks are much easier to use anyway especially if you don't have the time to do a full on clay mask. The mask has plenty of product on and even has some left to massage into your skin after the 15 minutes has elapsed. I always feel that my skin feels so much softer and smoother after using these.

The 1st new product I bought was the Extreme 2% Serum. After a week of using this my skin had never felt so good. I use it in the morning before makeup and in the evening just before I go to bed. I also have to say it works really well as a primer, my make up even stays on better.

I really wanted a scrub in the range as I said in my previous post I always use the Teen Skin scrub in the green packaging from Nip + Fab and love it so I was super happy to see this scrub. The Nip + Fab scrubs are amazing. They're have the perfect consistency and really work to eleminate dead skin cells and clear pores.

I haven't tried the Gel Cleanser yet but can't wait to try it with my Foreo Luna Mini. They will be the perfect partners to cleanse my skin 😀

I think if you're struggling with your skin and have tried every highstreet product, I 100% recommend this whole range. I wouldn't use anything else at the moment and lets face it the packaging is a part of the reason I fell for it 😅

Have you tried this range yet? What did you think?

Thank you for reading.
